menu_book About this test
What does the 16 Personality Types Test measure?
This free test describes your natural preferences across four classic dichotomies inspired by Carl Jung's work on psychological types. It does not measure intelligence, talent or mental health. Instead, it shows where you tend to direct your energy, how you take in information, how you make decisions and how you like to organize your life.
The four dichotomies
- Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I): do you recharge through people and activity, or through quiet and reflection?
- Intuition (N) or Sensing (S): do you focus on patterns and possibilities, or on concrete facts and experience?
- Thinking (T) or Feeling (F): do you decide mainly by logic and consistency, or by values and impact on people?
- Judging (J) or Perceiving (P): do you prefer plans and closure, or flexibility and open options?
How it works
You will rate 48 short statements, 12 for each dichotomy, on a five-point scale from "disagree" to "agree". It takes about 12 minutes. For each pair, the side with the higher total becomes one letter of your four-letter code, such as INFP or ESTJ, giving one of 16 possible types.
What you get
Your result page explains your type in plain language: an overview, key strengths, typical challenges, how you tend to show up in relationships and at work, and practical growth tips.
An honest note
This is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical or diagnostic assessment. Preferences are not fixed boxes; everyone uses both sides of each pair, and results can shift with mood, context and life stage. Answer as you usually are, not as you wish to be, and use your type as a starting point for conversation and growth.
